“We Grow Graduates”

We Grow Graduates
We Grow Graduates
Solving Problems everyday

Always working hard!

Library

When does my child need to return the library book?

It is Aldine ISD policy for every child to checkout a book. Books are to be returned the day before the student’s check out day.

What if the library book is lost or damaged?

You will need to pay for the book if it is lost. We accept cash only. You can call or email me and I can give you the price of the book. We will refund the money if you find the book and return it.

Please return the book even if it is damaged (torn pages, food or drink spilled, scribbled with crayon, etc.). Hopefully, we will be able to fix the book at no charge. However, if the book is damaged beyond repair, you will be responsible to pay for the book so it can be replaced.

How do I get in touch with the librarian?

My name is Joell Barrientes. You may call the school at 281.985.7500 or email me at [email protected]

Book Fair

deSantiago will have two book fairs this school year.
You can send money with your child to school or come and get your child out of class to visit the book fair. Please remember to send enough money to cover taxes.
Monday – Thursday 7:30 – 2:30
Friday 7:30 -11:00
Thanks for supporting the library!

Volunteer

Aldine ISD requires everyone to fill out a volunteer form online. If you don’t have access to a computer, you may use the one in the library. We will be happy to assist you. You may come Monday-Friday 7:30-8:00 or 2:00-3:00

Storytellers and Performers

Throughout the school year we will have various storytellers perform at de Santiago. The performances are for enrolled students only.

We’ve Got It Going On!

Throughout the year we sponsor Family Friday Events for de Santiago students and their families. This year we have discussed the importance of reading and utilizing Aldine databases for students as well as hosted a Valentine reading event and craft. In March our Family Friday Event was “Pastries with Parents” where each family received a free book and enjoyed a pastry and reading activity with their child.
